The crow began as a series of ink studies, loose, tactile marks exploring weight, balance, and gesture. Each drawing captured a different moment of stillness or motion, letting the form emerge through texture rather than precision. These studies weren’t about defining a final image, but about understanding the crow’s presence, how it holds itself, how it rests, how it might lift away at any moment.
