As autonomous vehicle platforms matured, the volume of operational information expanded beyond traditional dashboard conventions. Vehicle perception, environmental awareness, navigation, diagnostics, and system confidence all competed for limited interface space.

The challenge was not simply designing screens—it was creating a visual language capable of adapting to rapidly evolving technologies while remaining understandable to researchers, engineers, and operators.

Autonomous vehicles continuously perceive, interpret, and respond to complex environments.

The interface needed to expose that intelligence without overwhelming the operator. Rather than designing individual screens, Ridgehouse focused on creating an operational language capable of communicating changing system states, environmental awareness, and machine confidence as the technology continued to evolve.

The resulting system established a flexible interface framework capable of supporting autonomous driving research across multiple products, testing environments, and future platform iterations.
